Our School
Ardnagrath National School is a Primary School in Walderstown, Athlone, Co Westmeath, Ireland.

The School Day begins at 9.20am.
Lunch break is from 12.30pm. to 1.00pm.
Junior Infants and Senior Infants finish at 2pm.
School closing time is 3pm.

The school was opened in 1960, with an extension added in 1995. In 2006 we completed the construction of another classroom, computer room, P.E. room and a “Sprung” gymnasium (We were the first primary school in the country to erect a gymnasium of this type).

Teaching Staff
There are six teaching staff. We also have a special needs assistant, part-time secretary, caretaker, specialist music teacher, a G.A.A. coach and a tag rugby coach.

School Building and Grounds
Ardnagrath National School is a single story premises with four classrooms. It contains a learning support room, an english language teaching room, a computer room, a large gym, a sizeable staff room and a school office. 

On the school grounds is a large playground which incorporates a basketball court. Behind this is a playing field for sports such as Soccer and G.A.A.
