Ardnagrath is a small village community situated in the parish of Drumraney Athlone, Co Westmeath. It is 10 kilometres from Athlone, the nearest town. There are 45 families in our immediate community. There is a strong mix of young and old. In our Village we have a church, a football pitch, community centre, two shops, a post office and a petrol station.

The Pinnacle
Ardnagrath is situated in the centre of Ireland. A pinnacle was erected in 1749 on the spot which marks the very centre of the country.

Mission Statement:
We at Ardnagrath National School, celebrate the uniqueness of each child.
We aim to enable them to become independent learners, provide them with the knowledge and skills necessary to realise their full potential and prepare them for life long learning, while nurturing and building their self esteem.
We encourage communication skills and spiritual awareness so as to promote respect for oneself and others.

We welcome imput from parents to compliment the skills and experience of teachers
thus ensuring our school reaches out to include the wider community.
